The Christmas Countdown is on at Market Cross in Selby

Christmas has well and truly arrived at Market Cross, bringing plenty of festive cheer and exciting ways for families and friends to enjoy the countdown to the big day.

Children can look forward to FREE face painting on Saturday 20 December, from 11am to 2pm. Festive face painting will give little ones the chance to transform into their favourite Christmas characters, with glitter tattoos also available for some seasonal sparkle.

The celebrations continue on Sunday 21 December, from 11am to 2pm, with a Christmas Elf Workshop, where even more smiles can be captured with a FREE festive photo.

The Performing Arts Academy Selby team will be bringing a sprinkle of Christmas magic to the centre, hosting a festive photobooth complete with a Christmas backdrop. Every child will have the opportunity to pose for a professional photograph and receive a special Christmas goodie bag.

For those planning festive get-togethers, there’s still time to book Christmas celebrations at Barco Lounge. Their Christmas menu, featuring classic dishes with a unique Lounge twist, is available until 31 December, with two- and three-course options available for under £30 per person - perfect for catching up with friends and family over the festive period.

With so much festive fun on offer, Market Cross is the perfect place to get into the Christmas spirit this weekend.
