Subway officially opens at Market Cross, bringing the popular franchise back to Selby town centre

Market Cross has welcomed Subway to the centre, with the well-known sandwich franchise opening in the former Elaine’s Gifts and Cards unit on Gowthorpe.

The store opened earlier this week, bringing a tasty food option to the town centre whilst creating job opportunities for the local community.

Subway offers a wide range of freshly prepared sandwiches, wraps, salads and breakfast options, with customers able to choose from a variety of breads, fillings, toppings and sauces to create their order.

The new store features a modern interior, complete with digital order screens and a dedicated seating area, creating a bright and welcoming space for customers dining in.

To celebrate the opening, customers have been able to enjoy 30% off all sandwiches, wraps, salad boxes and jacket potatoes, with the first customer also receiving a free signature Footlong sub.

The opening forms part of a wider programme of improvements at Market Cross, supported by a £100,000 investment to enhance the centre for visitors and strengthen the tenant mix.
