New home interiors shop now open at Selby’s Market Cross

Dawson's, an independent family-run home interiors shop, has opened at Market Cross shopping centre in Selby.

The Dawson family offer a complete home interior service from handmade upholstery, curtains and blinds made by mum, Maria to a full decorating and fitting service offered by dad, Richard.

Dawson's is led by daughter, Harriet, who has a degree in Textile Design and graduated from De Montford University last year with a Master’s degree in Interior Design. The family decided to collaborate to kickstart Harriet's dream career in interior design.

Market Cross was chosen for their shop due to its high footfall and the cosy feel of the store that they have now fitted out beautifully.

The shop offers a wide range of wallpaper, fabric by the meter and luxury paints stocking brands such as Little Greene, Earthborn, Zoffany, Graham & Brown and William Morris.

Dawson’s Interiors also offer a blind making service, window shutters and a range of other window treatments to stylishly finish off the home.

Harriet said: “I have always had a passion for interior design since I was very young. Working alongside my mum and dad will be amazing as we all have a deep desire to go above and beyond for our customers.

“We feel it’s important to cater for all budgets and needs and that a focus on the client and their wellbeing to create a design that suits them is what makes our service special.”

A full and comprehensive interior design service is available to customers wanting that helping hand on styling a room or even an entire house. The service includes the offer of colour consultations to full interior design but taking a fully adaptable approach to suit the client’s needs and budget.

The centre is now fully occupied once again with a great selection of independent stores and well known high street names.”
