Market Cross launches ‘Draw Your Dad!’ competition to celebrate Father’s Day

Youngsters are invited to get creative and draw a portrait of their dad as part of Market Cross’ ‘Draw Your Dad’ Father’s Day competition.

The competition encourages youngsters to create their own artistic interpretation of their dad, giving local children the chance to win a special hamper full of goodies to gift to their dad this Father’s Day.

To enter, children are asked to create their own portrait of their dad or father figure, accompanied by a short message explaining why he is so special.

Children wishing to take part can pick up an entry sheet at Barco Lounge or The Works - completed entries can then be dropped back at either location by Thursday, June 19th.

All entrants must provide their name, age, and a parental contact telephone number. Entries will be judged by the Market Cross team, and all entries will be displayed at the centre.

The winner will be announced on Friday, June 20th – just in time for Father’s Day (June 21st).

Melissa Clement, who oversees the management of Market Cross, said: “Draw Your Dad is such a lovely way for children to celebrate their dads and show just how much they mean to them. We can’t wait to see all the fantastic drawings and messages from local youngsters this year.”
