Market Cross shopping centre in Selby hosted a fun-filled Halloween event last Saturday [28 October] with a number of free activities for families to enjoy.
A free craft station with Halloween themed colouring and pumpkin craft kits was hosted by the centre, alongside free face painting and glitter art.
Visitors were also able to enjoy a packed programme of entertainment which included a performance by local dance troupe, Dance Elite LC.
Youngsters were able to take part in a Halloween scavenger hunt and the centre's scary fancy dress parade which was judged by store managers from centre shops EE, The Works and Selby Butchers.
Coming in at first place was eight year old Casey with second prize awarded to George also aged eight. Third prize was won jointly by Olive-Grace and Elliot, both three years old.
Alison Shipperbottom, Head of Communications at Dransfield Properties who own the centre, said: “Thank you to all of the families who attended the event on Saturday and got into the spirit of things with their amazing Halloween costumes.
“We hope everyone had fun and also had the chance to visit all of our wonderful stores for some early Christmas shopping."
The Gruffalo trail, which launched three weeks ago is still running until December. Children can pick up their trail map from The Works and follow the signs around the centre, spelling a hidden word from the letters displayed on the signs.
Once the entry sheet has been completed, participants can then hand their map back into The Works to be entered into a prize draw with a £50 gift card up for grabs. The winner will be contacted on 30 November.
The centre is now home to two brand new stores, Dawson's Interiors and Abbey Bridal Boutique giving shoppers plenty of new shops to browse.
