Families gather to enjoy Easter egg-stravaganza at Market Cross
1 April 2024
Families gathered to enjoy a whole host of fun activities as part of an Easter egg-stravaganza at Market Cross in Selby at the weekend.
Visitors
gathered to enjoy entertainment and activities held
throughout the day on Saturday.
Youngsters had smiling faces as they took part in an Easter egg hunt hosted by the shops around the centre. They also enjoyed free face painting and a free colouring craft table at The Works.
The Easter bunny also hopped into the centre as youngsters
gathered for photos, hugs and high fives.
The popular Selby baker, Cray Bakes, also had a pop-up offering
a great selection of freshly baked tray bakes, cookies and brownies on the day.
Melissa Cutforth, Event Co-ordinator for Market Cross, said: “We
always strive to put on fun and exciting events here at Market Cross and it was
great to see so many people having a good time on the day.
“We have even more events to look forward to over the coming
months, so watch this space.”
The free community events programme for Market Cross kicked off
last year with a free Gruffalo trail running for several weeks, a dinosaur
event and entertainment held for Halloween.
And all hands will be needed on deck in Selby’s Market Cross for a fun-filled pirate-themed activity day and treasure hunt in April.
Shoppers can expect to see a pirate look-a-like roaming around the popular centre for the event on Saturday, April 13, between 11am and 2pm.
