Coopers Grocers further commits to Selby town centre store
7 April 2025
The team from the independent business, Coopers Grocers have
renewed their lease at Market Cross in Selby – further committing to the centre
and to serving the local community.
Coopers Grocers has been a part of the Market Cross
community since 2019. Formally known as The Greengrocer, owner Conor Cooper took
over the reins in 2022 after working alongside the previous owner since he was
16.
The eco-friendly Grocer sells a fabulous range of fresh
fruit, vegetables, and produce – always using independent Yorkshire suppliers.
The business has now renewed its tenancy with Market Cross
for a further five years – continuing the excellent service that Coopers
Grocers provides to Selby and the surrounding areas.
Coopers Grocers also sells luxury preserves and jams from
local farmers, as well as a popular range of bedding plants and cut flowers.
Conor said: “I love being part of the Selby business
community here at Market Cross and I’m grateful for the support we get from our
great customers – we’re very pleased to be continuing that commitment to being
a part of the town centre.”
Olly Jansen, Estates Surveyor at Dransfield Properties,
which owns and manages Market Cross, said: “Coopers Grocers has established itself as a key part of the Selby
business community in recent years. We are very pleased to see another
fantastic local business continue its commitment to Market Cross and we are
sure all the customers who use this great shop will be too.”
