Buckets of summer fun planned as Market Cross team unveil Selby by Sea events!

The team at Market Cross Shopping Centre in the heart of Selby are bringing a splash of seaside magic to town this summer with the launch of “Selby by Sea.”

The fun-filled programme of family-friendly events and entertainment also includes a special beach-themed trail running throughout the school holidays.

From now through to Saturday 31st August, families can take part in the special Selby by Sea Trail – a free activity that invites young shoppers to spot seaside-themed items hidden in shop windows throughout the centre.

Trail maps are available to collect from The Works and everyone who completes the trail will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher to spend at The Works. The winner will be announced on Sunday 1st September.

Alongside the trail, a fantastic calendar of free events and entertainment will run throughout the holidays, launching on Saturday 26th July and continuing right through to the end of August – including face painting, live performances, and character meet-and-greets, with appearances from favourites such as Bluey.

Melissa Clement from the Market Cross Centre Management team said: “We’re still putting the finishing touches to our summer schedule, but we’ve already got a brilliant programme of events lined up to keep the little ones smiling.

“From our Selby by Sea Trail to character visits, face painting and live music, there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to see families enjoying the summer here at Market Cross – and of course, one lucky participant will walk away with a £50 voucher to spend at The Works!”
